Good work, I am wanting to do the same thing in my plane. I did it a couple years ago with just a heavy duty sewing machine; however the material didn’t pass annual inspection. Had to put the old worn out material back on the seats. I said wouldn’t do it again until I get the right sewing machine.

How is the seating position correct for anyone other than very small people when you add so much new foam? I would no longer fit, at 6’3”.

Question is the pricing for a small airplane the same for a vehicle. Nice video as always.
@Theluckyneedle3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! So this was my first airplane so its hard to say what other planes would be like. This one took me about twice as long as a 4 seat car. These old planes are very fragile and many of the panels were broken under the fabric. Also you need to be very careful not to drop any hardware or tools because of all the working mechanisms in the floor. If something gets stuck down there it could be really bad to find out in the air.

Good days work on those seats thank God for steamers even tho I still end up with that pesky wrinkle from time2time that eats at me but customers happy so its good to be your worst critic
@Theluckyneedle3 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah I know all about being your worst critic. Wrinkles make me crazy too. But these plane seats were designed to have that comfy lazy boy recliner style look and feel. So thats why I had to live with some wrinkles

We know that john can the job well. Not sure what the point of the video was. No instruction. tips, tricks, technique etc . Oh he wants you to buy the course!
@Theluckyneedle3 жыл бұрын
I didn't have time to make this an instructional video because It was a customer job that used his plane to commute to work. It takes 5x more time to make an instructional video. Plus this was my first plane so I didn't feel comfortable teaching it. Sorry...

I was here to see an overview of what the process was, and that's what I got. I don't know why you're here, to whine like a spoiled child? If so, you also got what you were looking for.
