The drink package is definitely worth it. We like specialty coffee and waters and they also add up if you don't drink too much alcohol in a day. Great video!

We have done it both ways. With the Cheere we tend to drink alot more than normal. Without cheere we rely on OBC to help offset the price. Last cruise we did an 8 day Without cheers and it was a little over $600 but we had $300 OBC. Our next cruise is a 7 day out of Galveston so the drink package is a little cheaper since it doesn't work on the first day and you only pay for 6 days. We have $600 OBC so we will definitely buy cheers with that. Great vlog!

Going on a cruise end of the month and have the Cheers package for the first time. We aren''t big alcohol drinkers, but do enjoy a few drinks a day. But like coffees, Gatorades, sodas, e.t.c. At the end of the day not sure if it will be "worth it", but for us having that peace of mind and not having to worry about the expense of drinks helps make the vacation that much better.

just got off an 8 day on the carnival horizon yesterday. we tracked every drink we got. my wife and i saved about $450 by having cheers vs what we would have paid per drink. that includes 3 port days where all we had to drink on the ship was specialty coffee and waters. and i never hit more than 9 alcohol drinks on any given day.

Carnival lost all my business. We cancelled all four of our upcoming cruises and rebooked two with MSC. Their packages with WIFI and drink packages included beat the hell out of Carnival.

1. You should include the “free” drinks because the general public doesn’t get them 2. The cheers package value isn’t in alcoholic beverages, it’s in the bottles, coffees, etc etc.

3. Tally up everything for the full cruise period and not just a day. Real world drinking is what matters to 99% of people.

We order a bottle of alcohol, a case of small water, we each get a big bottle of water, we make out not getting "Cheers" because we don't drink pop, or any of the other items available. No Gatoraid (lol I can't even spell it) no energy shots etc. We splurge on the coffee shop both regular and alcohol coffee's and the one time I tested cheers didn't even come CLOSE to price points. We also are good with getting ice and water in our Yeti's on Lido or in the dining room. That's just us, and trust me my husband drank a LOT in 2020, for being a paramedic he forgot the golden rule of drinking water and his a$$ ended up in medical for dehydration which led to A-Fib. That cruise was 14 days and didn't come close to the cost for 1 package. I think including pre-purchase stuff and what we bought cost us 1 person cheers cost. So basically cheers works for folks for all of that stuff but we're not big all the stuff included drinkers.

I don't cruise to drink. If I don't drink much at home I'm not gonna do it on my cruise. But to each his own. I always took advantage of group parties and platinum parties other than that only a drink here or there on ship. I buy a coffe card on Royal for my specialty coffees. Royal allows you to bring bottled water onboard and of course the usual wine allotment. I'm content with 4 free drinks a day with diamond status.

Nothing wrong with a couple of cocktails but this 15 drinks a day is dangerous and unnecessary! Should be focused on the food entertainment and ports of call at your ages!
