Beacon Hill Fort Harwich movie

The area of Harwich has had some type of fortification from Henry the Eighth days ( 1500`s ), with various upgrades to combat the threat from the French, Spanish and Dutch Armada's and eventually from the Germans. In this video, i show you around some of the open buildings, and fly over the Beacon and Cornwallis batteries that i couldn't get access to, due to new owners. I'll also give you a brief history of these fortifications. Thanks for watching !

You refer to Essex and Sussex . Do you mean Essex and Suffolk which is the just the other side of the haven .

Hi Paul. Yes the concrete blocks that are darted across europe and the UK are called dragons teeth. Ill be doing more about the german ones in a future video. If you search through my vids, ive done a vid about the dragons teeth in previous one in Dorset. Keep well mate 😊
