LOL he nailed it with 99% of gen pop being upset that no one from mass we've ever met in real life sounds like the ppl from Good Will Hunting 😅 Trying to decide whether to move to Boston or back to NYC.....love these videos, thank you! I naturally lean towards Beacon Hill. It is definitely interesting how old some of the interiors are compared to nyc.... especially in the beacon hill neighborhood. I love the beautiful architecture and narrow streets, however- something you can't really find in nyc except in small pockets of the financial district & Brooklyn heights. I've actually found rent prices for studios to be slightly less expensive in back bay as to beacon hill, along with a little more square footage and slightly better interiors - but not sure how accurate that is? Also wondering what rental requirements are in Boston. In NYC you will not be considered with a credit score even 1 point less then 700 (with most places wanting 720+) and an income of 40x the monthly rent. Are requirements as strict in boston? How long on average do you recommend setting side to secure a rental? I assume there is high competition...

Thanks for the the kind words! Rent prices can definitely fluctuate and are pretty similar between Back Bay and Beacon Hill at times but Back Bay offers some full service options in newer buildings versus Beacon Hill. In my experience, requirements vary by landlord but often times speed can be just as important as a 700+ credit score. Many landlords I see draw a line at 650, and I would say you want to be aggressively looking at 2-3 Months before move in date. Competition is high but if your application package is prepared ahead of time, you can gain an edge over every other tenant out there! Reach out if you need anything else, and thank you for watching! 617-360-7244

Haha, idk man. He still sounded like he had a Boston accent to me, just not thick. I heard 'tawp dawllar' at least once. I def agree the general population wants that super thick, movie accent, but I've found after living in Boston a couple of years I hear the accent even when it's not pronounced.
