So it’s a mandala pattern plus cross-stitch plus beads. I would rather stab my eyes out. I’ve tried all the stitching and beading-related crafts in younger days and I really suck at them all, so that probably colors my opinion somewhat 🙄 Congrats on the job situation being sorted and for so much less stress as a result! Happy to hear about your new job! Congrats!. This kit reminds me of the DIY miniature build kits. They take months to complete, but because you are so focused on the building, you forget about all your problems, and Covid, etc. I found it so therapeutic. If you decide to devote an hour a day to it, you will eventually complete it. Love your videos, and thanks for the extra perk this week!👍💕

Congratulations on the job, and you do seem less stressed. I’m very happy for you. All these types of crafts take forever, I just work s kind of stuff whenever I feel like it. I started a latch hook kit a mont or so ago, I have 3 rows done. It’ll take me a year to do it, but that’s okay, it’s for fun, not to stress me out, lol.

Hi Anthony! Fun project! I've done it once with my own pattern (counted cross stitch, no print). My favorite things to do with cross stitch patterns were to turn them into either a loomed pattern on an American Indian bead loom or a filet stich crochet object (blanket, dollies, etc). It is also possible to crochet and knit with beads but stringing hundreds to thousands of beads onto yarn would be absolutely tedious.
@cherylalikhani59573 жыл бұрын
You are right about the loop helping, especially by helping keep the holes from getting stretched in wonky directions.

@@AnthonyCrammen you might like the American Indian bead looming, I found it quite relaxing and very easy to do (yarn weaving was easy too). I made a bracelet with my name as my first project using graph paper and knowledge of cross stitch pattern making to create a simple bead pattern.

Hey, I'm back (woo!) to re-suggest the whole junk journal idea. It's pretty overwhelming at first. The channel I recommended previously has so. many. videos. So here are 2 really (I think) more helpful ones: kzbin.info/www/bejne/boemZGCClMetgJY (what is a junk journal and why TF do people make them) and kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipzFioKKbt2Biqs (a relatively simple journal made in under an hour). Keep in mind that all the big names in the field are trying to sell stuff -- their journals, their "digi-kits" to make journals, etc -- but none of that is necessary since junk journals are supposed to be about making a journal with literal junk you have around the house. The second video I referenced above uses a couple doilies in hers, and I think you may have some of those lying around, right? *wink* I won't bug you about this idea again, but I'm hopeful :)

Bearded Cross Stitch might have suited you better if you were in the right mood for it. Basically sewing for angry people with beards. Try just adding one bead a day see what affect it has on your mood, do you look forward to each bead or dread it how does each one make you feel as you get closer to the last one and further away from the first. Good luck with the new job.

YKP - means Ukrainian. Please never confuse it with the language you mentioned first... Embroidery is huge in Ukraine, it is something that is truly valued and is passed from generation to generation. It can also get very complicated. Also, every region in Ukraine has their own technique and the look, so it is very interesting and colourful. Hope you enjoyed doing it. :)
