Maybe I shouldn’t ask but you are the first I’ve watched that really teaches well. I started my crafting business with making wreaths…nobody wants to buy them for what they’re worth. Plus I am handicapped so I always had to get help taking all of my wreaths and displays, etc. you get the picture. I am so intrigued by the beading world. Plus it seems small enough that I won’t have to rent a U-Haul for. Do you have any tips for a newbie who wants to sell beadable things? How much to charge for each kind of thing? What craft shows to look for, etc. I so want to learn from you! Please consider me if you’re looking for a student.

Thank you so much!! Adorable pokey tools!! 💕. I did but the cocktail sticks from Temu and the Hobby Lobby set , but haven’t ordered the beads yet. TFS!! Hugs. Gloria 🥰
@creativelyjean Жыл бұрын
That's a hard question to answer but here goes. I have used beads as small as a 4mm bead if the hole is big enough but then again I have some 12mm beads that do not work because the hole is not big enough. You do not need as big of a hole like you do for the beaded pens. you are pretty safe getting 8mm to a 12mm bead. I linked a couple of packs of beads from hobby lobby for you, I find that most of there mixed packs will wok. Also Walmart has some mixed bead packs that will work. I hope that is helpful, If you have anymore question please ask. You can also use my email to ask question if you would like. www.hobbylobby.com/Beads-Jewelry/Beads/Glass-Beads/Confetti-Glass-Bead-Mix/p/99320 www.hobbylobby.com/Beads-Jewelry/Beads/Acrylic-Plastic-Beads/Bright-Old-World-Bead-Mix/p/81059260

I'm NEW to dangles and and glue stoppers. I'm trying to figure out, what size of the needles fit what bead size? Thank you for your reply. BTW - I'm also a new follower :)
@creativelyjean10 ай бұрын
Welcome to my channel. All the beads that I used will fit any of the pokey tools I have listed in the description. Most 12mm and up beads will work, smaller beads with a bigger hole work. If you buy beads by the hole size you need about a 4mm hole. I like the mixed packs from hobby lobby. I have a lot of beads on hand so i was able to find some in my stash.
@allsortsoflotsofthings10 ай бұрын
Sorry if this is a daft question, but this newbie would like to know what size beads you generally buy for these projects? 8mm? 10mm? And how will I k now if the hole will be big enough (when I buy them online). Thank you for the lovely tutorial :-)
@creativelyjean10 ай бұрын
The bead size is not as important as the hole size. Some 10mm beads can have a very small hole the same with a 6mm bead can have a large hole. That being said it is hard to order by hole size because most companies tell you the bead size the the hole size. You need about a 4mm hole. I am going to give you a link to a pack from hobby lobby most of the mixed packs have a lot of beads you can use. In my experience most 10mm and up will work. I hope this helps.
