I just took my surgical school graduation photos, I have traditionally locs. I added beads to my two strands for the photos and the beading added such dimension to a simple style.

How often do retie your hair? I don’t want to retie so much, but my hair grows out fast where I have loose hair coming out my locs. I am three years in and retie every 6-8 weeks.

Thank you! You don’t have to be fully locked. I’ve added beads to a couple of locs before when they were still maturing, but not a full head. I also didn’t leave them in long. They are a bit heavy, so I would recommend waiting until they’re matured, that’s just my opinion!
