Yes Jill, this was very helpful. I thought I was getting copper one time and it ended up some other color (can't remember which). It also removes the blame from the local shops. Enjoy the holidays.

Just an addendum to my comment below about seed bead sample cards. Miyuki does have a page where you can view and save sample cards as PDF files. Jill, thank you for explaining this. It doesn't make my (beading) life any easier, but at least it lets me know what's going on. *sigh* Of course it's even worse that some stores will use their own system (but that seems to be declining). Do you know of any stores/bead sellers that use the actual manufacturers' numbers rather than that particular wholesaler's system? Especially since many stores will list Tohos vs. Miyuki vs. Matsuno (and may even carry mostly Toho or Miyuki).

Thanks for this information.....But I still wish when you could list the color and # you are using along with the brand (Toho, Miyuki, whatever). For instance I just found in this video you like the 457 or 771 Bronze, but on my monitor I'm not sure if it was gold. So please could you consider either telling us at the beginning of the project the colors you are using (You could just show the tube, and I will pause the video). Thanks! I really love your videos, I am a new beader.

Regarding numbers. Where do the "/0" come from? Why just call them size 11, 8 or 6!
