That’s when HR used to build a blue water boat ! They should have stayed with that business model . That is almost the perfect blue water boat for a couple .

Another great episode and tour of the interior. Very impressed with the interior quality of this sailboat especially compared to some Beauteous that we looked at. -- QUESTION -- If you haul out, would it be possible to post a detailed video of the hull and rudder setup and the keel etc. We have watched so many videos of damaged and lost rudders on spade rudder sailboats and would love to see the setup on this sailboat (we can't find any reports of a lost rudder on a HR 46 -- or any HR actually -- so we would love to see how it is put together).

Super nice engine room.. Surprised to see a Yanmar engine on this sailboat. I was once told that all HR models came with a Volvo, But that Yanmar 110 has to be on the top of our list of engines so very nice indeed!

Thanks, the Yanmar has been very solid for us so far. I think maybe the newer HR models do have Volvo Penta.

Sorry for all the questions, but we have never seen a Hallberg Rassy with one of those wind vane steering systems on the back of the sailboat. Is there a reason why they never seem to have one? I know that you have an electric autopilot but does the wind vane system not work well with HR?

In our case, it would not fit with the solar panels and dinghy davits. Also, the electric auto pilot is easier and more convenient and we have 2 for redundancy. Finally, I believe the wind vane steering units have an upper size limit, not sure if we’re too big.
