Is this throughout the air force or is it mostly still 12 hour shifts for everywhere else?

There are two types of security shifts. There are "back office" people who work in admin and support roles - they normally work 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM or so. Then there are the rest who do policing and security work - they can work days, swings, or graves. When I was at Beale, 30 years ago! I worked dayshift, which was six days on and three days off. Other guys worked swings and mids, three swings, then three meds, and three days off. Each base will be a little different.

Forensource that doesn’t really answer the question

@@iggyvanzandt4515 my information is 35 years old. Every base and every squadron might have a different policy. But back then, most people who did administrative and support work from 730 to 430 with an hour lunch. Back then, the Air Force was pretty much like a civilian job. Now, it is more like a military job. But it all depends on your job and the particular squadron. If you have better information, go for it.
