8:33 as an enthusiastic artist, I literally let out an excited squeal when I saw this
@Max_R_MaMint4 жыл бұрын
I'm not a visual artist, but wouldn't a better idea be to scan a color you want to use, and be able to match it to your medium of choice as precisely as possible? Ex.; scan the color of a tshirt, and save it. In your studio, scan the color paints close to the tshirt color, and it tells you which one matches. Or scan them all into a library and it tells you which colors you have that should be combined to match the tshirt color. Restricting an artist (because non-artists do not "need" exact colors to draw) to only an ink pen with what looks like a 'fine' point kind of negates anything positive about being able to scan and match colors.
@liquidacid19832 жыл бұрын
To bad it's a scam. They repeatedly got caught making fake videos claiming to show off the pen which doesn't actually exist and which they don't have the tech to actually make. Then after their kickstarter was fully funded 3 times over and they were unable to deliver anything they literally just shut down the kickstarter and opened another new campaign on a different crowdfunding platforms to try and milk customers all over again.

I think a really cool concept would be to create a pair of gloves that could help beginner artists learn to draw, the idea would work like the scribble pen, it would scan the picture they want to draw and the gloves would help them draw it, using them to draw the same picture continuously will help build muscle memory eventually getting them to the point where they can do it on their own, it could also be used in tandem with the scribble pen.

Nash Byrd I hate to burst your bubble, but there’s no way solar road will work. You’d doo better to make roads out of little sacks of air and springs. Then hook the whole thing to a wind turbine. Or, we could go to the cleanest forms of electrical energy in the form on nuclear power.

2:39 So just how much power can you get from a hot or cold drink? 1 pound of water is about a pint (a large, full drink), and changing that temperature by 1 degree F is the definition of the BTU. So, a hot double-cup of coffee that's 30 degrees above room temperature will hold 30 BTU. That's 8.8 Watt-hours. A new smartphone battery is 3.6 Ah times 4.2 volts = 15 Watt-hours The efficiency of a thermo-electric generator is about 5%, so if the mug is well insulated an the sides but metal on the bottom so it heats the coaster nicely (instead of keeping the coffee warm) and you had an insulated lid as well, then you would get 2.5% charge-up to your phone if you left your hot drink untouched and full until it cooled to room temperature. Given a real cup that is designed to keep the contents warm, where most heat is lost by evaporation of the hot water, _and_ you are drinking it down before it cools all the way, the amount of power scavenged will be small. It's a gimmick that might not even produce enough power to make your phone think it's plugged in at all.
@MrCaseClayborn4 жыл бұрын
Just going to toss this out there to keep it spread through the comments, the solar road was not only a horrifically bad idea, but it was also exceedingly poorly created and even more lazily implemented, as a few meters of panels in a spot that doesn't get any direct foot traffic at the edge of a sidewalk and a building walkway. You can't drive and stop on plastic or glass safely even in dry conditions at roadway speeds, that's just the first of a dozen massive logistical problems with the design which looked nothing like the concepts.
