A few years ago, I was visiting Maldives. A police officer told me about an invasion in 1980, 10 man with automatic rifles in a patrol vessel conquered the Capitol Male and took control over the government. India heard about it and send a couple of warships to save the tiny nation from the thugs. True story. Nowadays, Maldives have a small army with at least 20 soldiers! :)

I once visited the republic of San Marino and whilst touring the museum I noticed a display of 6 firearms that were kindly donated by Queen Victoria of England, the museum guide explained that on receiving the weapons they set up an army of 6 people, however, they are still waiting for the bullets. They do however have a crossbow corps (yes crossbow) of around 80 guys who I watched do an amazing display of crossbow shooting. I believe there is also a Guard of the Rock who are both police and border control. I think being one of the 6 soldiers still waiting for the bullets would be a cushy job.

While stationed in Germany I went through WLC at the 7th NCOA. We had Soldiers from various armies there as well. One pair was from Bosnia. One guy told me, "We are out of shape but it is fine.
