Soak an egg in vinegar for a day or so in a sealed container. The shell desolves and leaves the membrane. It'll kinda bounce so be careful, not a great thing mom will appreciate if it breaks open. The cost of eggs...... better to go buy a bouncy ball instead, it'll be cheaper.

We used to do the experiment in high school, soak a little piece of meat and a nail in Coke. The nail would rust and corrode to almost nothing, and the meat would get hard. Then the science teacher would say "Just think what it does to your stomach?" I don't know if other colas, or maybe other soft drinks, would do that.

The first time I encountered the Styrofoam melting hack was when I was on the side of the road out of gas in the middle of nowhere. A gas station was 2 miles up the road. My gas can had no spout so I grabbed a few soda cups and walked back to my car. I didn't realize the cups would desegregate on contact. I was able to get enough in there to drive the 2 miles to the gas station to fill up.

This label dissolving method with perfume works only with labels for direct thermal print labels - which are more expensive than regular labels printed by thermal transfer through ribbon, so I really doubt shipping companies are using so expensive labels.

Instead of waiting for the fizz to go down when pouring soda, squeeze a lime wedge into it (or just squeeze it into the glass before pouring). The fizz will instantly dissipate, allowing you to continue pouring. This is why some bartenders make a point of asking if you want a lime if you order Diet Coke (which is notoriously difficult to keep from fizzing and takes forever to go down).

I can put a raw egg into a coke bottle. Takes 72 hours, maybe longer. Soak the egg in vinegar until it becomes rubbery. Then, place a lit piece of paper into the coke bottle and immediately place rubbery egg on top. The flame will go out from lack of oxygen and create a vacuum that will suck the egg into the bottle. Gently rinse the paper out, fill it with water, and the egg will return white and hard. The trick is that the vinegar causes the calcium in the shell to become rubbery so the egg will slip into the bottle. Note: I have had them to break. Learned this in science class in elementary school. It's a great conversation piece. People wonder how you got the egg in the bottle.
