What kind of suspension on the blue truck at 4:11? They were able to walk away.

A Suburban has independent a-arm front suspension and a solid rear axle with leaf springs. They flex that much for sure and the long wheelbase and frame construction help. Before the front suspension was destroyed which would happen with a Suburban, the rear driveshaft would fall apart so this whole scene wouldn't occur. I'd guess they'd be off the road with pretzel tie rods. Otherwise, it's a pretty good approximation of driving down potholed roads in America which is why we like those vehicle. Smooooooooths out the ride. Euro and JDM cars disappear into our washboard road ripples over here. Stock shocks wouldn't travel that far but a pair of Ranchos and longer brake lines, and you can say goodbye to your driveshaft which isn't long enough fo rthe "long travel rear shocks" discount mod that Americans use.
