Suh speirs, those are late models not the actual cars you would see in a nascar race. These cars have lower power and are what you would see at a local racetrack instead of a nascar track. A lot of the nascar drivers raced these way before they reached the top series. Just a little lesson for ya lol

Cdogclary13 yes only at restrictor plate tracks, they can well exceed 200mph at Michigan and Auto Club Speedway. I wouldn't be shocked if they tested a car without the restrictor plate at daytona and have it run 215-220+ without drafting. I would like to see them race like that since safety has improved tremendously since it was mandatory in 1988.

Late models is a NASCAR division that races at local short tracks. Those racecars are much less powerful, cheaper to make and overally different looking. It's an entry level Stock Car Racing division.

The 602 is actually a pretty common race engine and is used in different applications from theses cars to dirt sprints they are usually "sealed" to maintain an even playing field for all drivers

Those are actually late Model stock cars... it's NASCAR's local division here in the states. Kind of like where NASCAR Monster Cup drivers get their start. The 602 is a 350ci 350hp sealed motor to keep people from cheating. But by the looks of it that 21 car has a unsealed crate!
