BeamNG.drive (Update 0.26) Freeroam: West Coast, USA - 1986 Ibishu Covet 1.5 DXi

Here is the remaster 1986 Ibishu Covet 1.5 DXi a fuel-injected version for US roads. I have driven this car many times and now it is almost completely different. Proportions and performance are the biggest differences on top of graphical upgrades and openable doors. Now that is pretty cool. Still the same old covet mechanically. Sub-compact 3-door hatchback. Independent Macpherson struts on the front suspension and muti-link struts and springs on the rear. For the powertrain, we still have a transversely mounted fuel-injected 1.5L SOHC inline 4-cylinder engine that makes about 88 bhp. While that is really weak, the car itself weighs just a little over a ton so the covet zips around corners still just as lively as before. An excellent old starter car that has all the basics you need to know about contemporary automobiles and all you need is hand tools. This car is the gateway for auto enthusiasts worldwide.

beamng looks much better now with motion blur and instead of pulling the hood (with car car going with it sometimes), you can now opening it without destroying the car :D

At first I thought it was too much but then I drove 150mph on the highway bobbing and weaving through traffic and it makes the whole experience of dangerous driving a bit more of a thrill.

with all those visual upgrades, the rear view mirror is stuck in the graphics of nascar 2003

I really wish there was a way to sacrifice vehicle reflections without losing the mirrors. When you drive with a first person perspective you don't really need reflections except for mirrors. that way you could also have better mirrors and 50+ cars on screen.

@@colintang3910 Oh. I have a head tracking device. BeamNG works out of the box with TrackIR. But beamNG also allows muti monitors now, I still prefer the head tracking over monitors
