Too many people get on here and talk about this shit and don’t even have the knowledge to speak on it, nor the the timeline in order. After several sneak disses back and forth Hov was the first to name names. He openly dissed Prodigy and put him on the Summer Jam Screen, and mentioned Nas at the end. That was it. Months went by and then Nas dropped the Stillmatic Freestyle dissing Hov and The Roc. Then when “The Blueprint” was about to drop is when we heard “Takeover”. Nas dissed the rest of The Roc, not because they came at him, but because he felt like it. Then everyone responded. Cam had just signed to The Roc that summer, he didn’t diss Nas til Nas went on the radio and dissed a bunch of people for no good reason (Cam, Nelly, NORE, Angie Martinez..) that’s when Cam started dissin him. People want to act like Hov recruited the whole Roc to go at Nas and that’s not true. Now The LOX, that’s different lol but think about it, Hov was beefing with Nas, Prodigy, DMX, The LOX, and a few other cats AT THE SAME TIME, his crew had BETTER held him down with everything he had done for them.
