This is famously called githeri in Kenya and we prefer using the term maize rather than corn... and also we use peas (mbaazi) instead of beans too which I find it tastier & love it more🥰

The beans and corn looks so delicious, love how it turned out looking so yummy, i love to cook my beans this way too, getting rid of that brown water is something i never miss when cooking my beans. Watching you pick those beans reminds me of my childhood memories how we use to pick beans back home. My favourite way of enjoying beans is with garri and ice cold water 😍

What i eat back home is dry maize and dry beans. Cooked maize until ready, then add beans, cook until ready. I make sure all the water dries up. Then I fry onions with cow ghee and add maize with beans and add salt. Its the best Ever

That method of washing beans is not just all about the beans tasting good, it kills the chemical used in preserving the beans and reduce bloating. Thank you for that trick on using the handheld blender, I use the chopper blender that came with the blender.
