Let's not forget what he achieved with Aberdeen...two European trophies, defeating the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, European Champions at the time Hamburg for the Euro Super Cup, Ipswich etc etc. That arguably is his greatest achievement. Kevin Davies Clough had the dosh to sign the first 1 million pound player in the UK. I thought you implied he was skint?. Oh and Ferguson has won the league 16 times in 2 countries, whilst Clough only won it twice in one country.

Kevin Davies For me it does'nt go on that. Its the longjevide & Spectularness - Bob Paisley is most people were/are most in awe of when i ask at small footy games, who actually remember the times. Yeah I'm sure Clough was Amazing & a close 2nd - but just not quite as Reassuring & Spectacular. But on paper I agree its Fergie, Clough, Paisley, Shankly, Ramsey in that order
