I think I speak for a lot of United fans when I say that whatever good there still is about United - and there's not much - Bruno Fernandes is that. I understand people's frustration and the need to find a fall guy for that frustration. But to be honest, if we were to go player by player, Bruno is the least of United's problems. In a team that has had more injuries than any other EPL team the last 3yrs, Bruno has only missed 2 games to injury since he came. In a team where players are short on confidence and afraid to try anything that will give them scrutiny from fans and the press. Bruno has stepped up for every single penalty. He's tried every ridiculous pass. Drifted into every position on the pitch. Taken every meaningless shot. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. But you can only think that if every other player on that pitch just dared to risk it just a little more like Bruno does, United wouldn't be in this position. But I understand why people criticize him. Because he's the only one worth criticizing. No other player is significant enough. We do not expect much from the rest. Actually we're shocked when they do well. But not Fernandes. When he does well, it's just Fernandes doing Fernandes things. When he's not, there's a riot. People take him for granted. People forget that - unfavorable to him - He is the one guy in the team that we still fail to have a replacement for. We do not rest him. Do not sub him. We overwork him. And still expect him to produce a 10 the next game! I really pray for a day when we can rest and sub him more often. I feel like people will see a better, fresher, more consistent Fernandes than the levels we know now.

Bruno was absolutely knackered at the end of the game. I also hope he will be rested for the Fulham game but I doubt it. Mainoo hasn't got the pace to replace him and we all know Casemiro is done, so Morin's options are limited, again. No point on looking at the past when we had two good players for each position, well almost each position, and that's what wins you leagues. City did it that way and (gritted teeth) the Scousers might do it this season.
