Bear Creek Arsenal 7.62x39 Upper

I put together this ar last year after wanting a bolt action to take advantage of the cheap steel cased ammo, put this together with a stripped lower I had and so far am happy with it. Probably put 1500 rounds through it between January and now with no problems. I plan on using it for a deer and hog rifle the places I go where shots are 100 yards or less.

Any luck with steel wolf ammo? My upper won’t fire the stuff, I keep getting light primer strikes with a few different milspec fcg and an enhanced firing pin they sent me

I shot one box of Wolf hollow points through it with no issues but that's all I shot through it when it comes to Wolf. I have a rise armament trigger that's only 2.5 pounds so if mine will set it off even though the hammer is going to be a lot weaker than mil-spec you probably have something wrong with your firing pin, email their customer service and try to get them to send you a new one. Also maybe your ammos bad but I doubt it, I'm shopping loads of berdan primed steel case through mine just not too much wolf and have had no problems and i think all the primers are about the same hardness.

Also the other thing you might want to do is take your whole BCG apart and see if there's any Grease on the firing pin or in the firing pin channel and clean it all out. I've had mine failed a fire due to that even though I've never put oil in there just on the outside of the bolt but it still will soak in there and all the powder residue and stuff somehow gets in there and gets all gummed up
