Fellow Sportsman... Saying NO to the Camp Graying Expansion IS NOT "Anti-military". The fact is we already have the largest National Guard Base in the world located in Grayling. How are other bases in other states getting it done? Look at the maps. This is a HUGE amount of area and a major intrusion on our outdoor rights. Also... the ARE NOT ruling out leasing to third parties for product testing in these areas! Take a further look into this and you will ask yourself... "wth?"

I think this guy should be commended on his efforts by teaching his daughter life lessons like, patience, hard work, dedication, and responsibility. He’s teaching her to love and respect the outdoors. And the quality of father daughter time is priceless. This experience will follow this young lady for the rest of her life. And a huge shout out to the camera man, well done! Great show! Congratulations!

Nice bear and goose hunts. Totally agree on not allowing the expansion of Camp Grayling, especially when I saw them talking about using the river to train. Depending on the time of year, that would really mess up the fishing in that area.

It warms my heart to see the Father/daughter hunt for bear, what great life lessons. I also love to see the bragging board with all of the successful youth hunters. Keep up the good work MUCC!! I say NO to the expansion of Camp Grayling.

I am so happy that the Ingalls hunt worked for them! Awesome! Now rewind one year ago when my son had a tag for the Baldwin unit as well. All the same hard work, all the same ton of money invested in bait and gas. Only to have our bears ran off by dogs because the DNR still has the seasons backwards and only allows one day to hunt over bait before the dogs come thru. Archery season should be first not last. Bait season should be first, then after a week let the dog hunters join. SMH still.

Am I wrong in thinking that it's illegal to bait for deer in the lower but putting out bait for bear won't be baiting deer as well? Sometimes all these rules break my head. Sometimes it makes no sense.
@pieceofparadise93382 жыл бұрын
Deer typically aren’t going to be attracted to bear bait and like they showed, they cover the bait with logs so deer can’t really get to it.

Baiting should be legal

@@chriswoods2142 I haven't hunted in Michigan since 2004, I moved out of state and then to Australia where there isn't really any hunting at all. I think baiting was legal when I left, I mean every gas station was selling feed. They stopped it because of CWD. I have friends that have private land and they still bait there.

If the national guard needs a training area, there are plenty of areas in Detroit that would benefit by Michigan National Guard presence and training.

Habituating an animal to feed on your bait pile, then killing it by ambush during its meal. Nothing clever or virtuous about this, in my view. Nevertheless, as apex primates who historically needed to hunt and kill for food, the primitive urge is instinctual, and evidently still satisfying for many.
