It’s spring at Zoo Tampa, and a newborn bear cub is rushed to the zoo after being abandoned by its mother. After spending a week in the veterinary hospital, he begins to show great signs of strength and health but he needs to gain more weight before they release him into the wildlife park to be reunited with other bears and to develop his survival instincts.

Just saw this episode's repeat on TV, and we're wondering -- what happened to the little guy after he went to the wildlife rehabilitation center? I saw another story about an orphaned cub who was determined to have been orphaned too young to be able to be released safely, so was going to be raised at Brevard Zoo. This little guy was super young too; was he able to be released when he got old enough?

Some bear cubs can’t be released back into the wild due to various injuries that affect things such as eyesight and walking.
