So i clicked on the link above and the recommendation, for not habituating bears, by the Blue Ridge Naturalist Network is: “removing bird feeders or keeping them out of the reach of bears”. I think these bears shouldnt be exploited for our entertainment using a birdfeeder to habituate them. Sorry

'And when she got there, The cupboard was bare'. Poor Ruby - it was hardly worth her athletic feat climbing up there. But how deftly she did it, with the skill and grace of a furry ballerina! Pause the video @ 2:39 to see Ruby standing upright. Her back legs are SO short, about a quarter the length of her whole body. And those tiny, dainty little feet of hers are just adorable. Sigh. Ruby is precious. What I wouldn't give for just one bear hug - and I reckon that's all I'd get, LOL! 💗🐻💗🐻💗🐻💗

Because I was just introduced to and became a fan of Mr Conley a few month ago I am not aware of Ruby's history. I plan to catch up. Ruby does have impressive skills and it is a joy to see. But I cannot help wanting to see the babies! Do you ever get tempted to take a journey into the woods to find them? I am sure they are miles away. They are so cute and I want to hover over them to make sure they are OK. Simone would have an opinion on that no doubt!

Hi Patrick, I've seen this video several times, but tonight I noticed how dear Ruby jumped the creek to continue on to her destination in the forest. That leap across the creek was so natural, effortless and charming. Thanks for this wonderful video of Dear Ruby. Hope your weather cooling down a bit for your sake and the bears.
