New Product from Axon Taser 2022 - The Taser Bolt 2

Axon Taser has revived and updated the original Taser Bolt. It has the similar flashlight shape with updated features and technology. We stopped by to take a look while at the NSSF 2022 SHOT Show.

Got one for the Mrs. I like the auto-release end cap and non-gun shape. I hated that the C2's had proprietary batteries.

Also you forgot to mention that the Bolt 2 has a third of the flashlight brightness for identifying targets as the equivalent Pulse+…

Hi PrimoAngler, do you have data for this? I've compared the two of mine and don't notice much of a difference. I will reach out to Taser to get more information. Also, I don't think this should be used as a flashlight to identify if someone is a target or not, That's what handheld flashlights are for. It is also rare for someone to be attacked in a cave-dark situation. If there is enough light for an attacker to attack you at the distances these work for, then you likely have enough light to see the attacker.

Different strokes for different folks. They wouldn’t be doing this if the bolt c2 wasn’t so successful. I prefer pulse but that’s just me.

The Pulse also looks more ergonomic than the Bolt 2. The straight design of the Bolt 2 makes its uncomfortable to aim compared to the angled design of the old C2/Bolt.

I wish they kept the angled design of the Bolt/C2 for the Bolt 2, the straight design looks uncomfortable to aim.

Except the shape is entirely different, it has a built-in safety cap, and works off the new Taser App.

@Kaden Chiu Silent? I'm not trying to sell you on a different model. You said it was the same as the Pulse, I simply provided the basic differences. The safety cap is to help protect against a unintentional static electricity discharge, so that it doesn't require a holster like the Pulse. Taser now has their own app, not locking you in to Noonlight. As mentioned in the video, shaped like a gun is both good and bad. It's great if you only look at a threat's perception in isolation, but not such a good thing if you take into account the other tens of millions potentially legally armed good people in the US on any giving day. If I'm using a less than lethal tool, I would prefer it would like a non-lethal tool from those looking over my shoulder. People do get shot my mistake. Also mentioned in the video, the Pulse is stall available. The Bolt 2 is for those who would prefer the non-lethal tool to look non-lethal.

@@Bearcotraining Who would want a tool to look non lethal?? What is so special about the Bolt?? Can it shoot three times? Give more juice?? Why should all this safety cap bullshit cost 100 USD more? What happens if you lose the cap?
