I have been using the round brush with the hair dryer for years, but never knew to use it the way you taught it until today. And it really made a difference. You gave some excellent advice.

Good information. I use a detangling brush now. Every stage of growth requires different attention. Personally I stay away from balms and use strictly oil and butter. Don't need or want wax in my beard. I substitute wax for a hand held hair dryer and or heated beard brush. Length and time cures most if not all beard issues.

Thank you mate. I definitely use more butter than balm but do use balm occasionally

Thanks very much for the info. Have recently become more interested in growing my beard. Have kept one for 10+ years but always just trimmed it to one length with clippers 😬 definitely have been making the boar's hair brush mistake!

I have a long beard but what i figured out is round brushes are good but they pull out tons of beard as comparing to wooden wide tooth comb
@beardmanners8 ай бұрын
Yeah mate this is why I tend to comb first to remove the majority of the tangles/knots and then brush to finish and add shape/style 👊🏼

Very informative video brother. I picked up a boars bristle brush with a handle last year and found that is a bit easier to use than the style in the video, and now because of my beard length really only use it to distribute the oil and for exfoliating which does feel quite nice.

Yeah man I tend to prefer handles brushes too.

How do you exfoliate the skin under your chin, once you have a bigger, longer beard? The flat brush can do the sides and cheeks; but how would you exfoliate underneath? Any tips Jason?
@beardmanners Жыл бұрын
I still use the flat brush for this mate. I hold my beard away from the area that I am brushing and then brush against the skin but follow the direction of my beard. Another option is to use an exfoliation wash and get it into the skin through the beard. Just make sure that you rinse it all out after mate. Other than that, a good wash/oil/butter routine should minimise how often you will need to exfoliate mate.

I wash my beard. Use beard wash/ beard conditioner / beard oil/ beard balm/and keep it softer than a persian cat sleeping on top of a flemish rabbit.
