I guess the level creator wanted to make the checkpoint surrounded by On-Off blocks leading directly to the boss, but the colours are wrong for this purpose since you always start with red blocks active.

OK, seeing as no one else thought that it would be epic to create names and bios for all of them, I guess I will have to step up to the task. Wheezy the Twister: Wheezy is the "mobility expert" as he puts it. As the rest of The Super Squadron puts it, he's the getaway driver. He cares for his vehicles like they are his babies. He's also the most innocent of the group. Spike the Spike: Spike is the brawn of the operation. Need something destroyed? Call Spike. Need someone punched in the face? Call Spike. Incidentally, he is the demolitions expert of the group. He's also...not the brightest. Goombart the Goombrat: Goombart is the least capable of the recruits. Sure, he's OK with a Spiny-Shell Blaster, but really, he's just the guy to scout ahead, take care of HQ, and do all the jobs that nobody else wants to do. Zapps the Zappy Mechakoopa: Zapps is the technical expert. Intel, mechanical whatnot, communications, his department. But, when push comes to shove, Zapps can use his laser rifle (invented by him, of course) to take down enemies from a distance. Mario: The leader, the adventurer, the overweight Italian man that needs no introduction, Mario. Mario assembled The Super Squadron, and picked out each member by hand: Goombart was a mistake. But Mario believes that everyone in The Super Squadron is a superstar in their own right, and he believes that Goombart hasn't been using his full potential. He's determined to help Goombart realize his dream of standing out from all the other Goombas. Welp, that's 10 minutes of my life I'm never getting back.

Are we just going to ignore the fact that the Super Squadron just got instantly annihilated by the flagpole There needs to be a setting where you can disable if the flagpole kills enemies. It would make so much more sense for levels like these, where they're supposed to be your allies

Here i'll make it make sense. Mario realizes that he just killed a single father, who needed to feed his children, pay for their babysitter, Pom Pom, and pay the personal assistant, Boom Boom. So after realizing that, Mario kills the super squadron and goes to bowser's castle to leaves some turkey for Lemmy, Morton, Larry, Wendy, Iggy, Roy, Ludwig, and Bowser Jr.
