@@HPMCCPooTis This would be the sixth, Kirby's Return to Dreamland for the Wii was the third to do so with all world names spelling out "CROWNED", before that was Canvas Curse for the DS with all levels spelling out "RAINBOW" and the first one to do so is Kirby's Adventure/Nightmare in Dreamland for the NES/GBA all spelling out "VIBGYOR" which is "ROYGBIV" backwards (those are the colors of each part of the rainbow).

2022 is really the ‘big’ year for Kirby as he celebrates his 30th birthday since the first game in the 1990s. The transition to 3D from the previous traditional mainline game was a ‘sucess’ with great soundtracks from this game as usual. Hopefully this series will continue for the long-run with more games being announced gradually.

My favorite thing about this game is the nostalgia I get from hearing all the various tones and melodies that’s been tweaked and brought back. A good part of my childhood was spent next to my brother playing Kirby super star and kirbys avalanche. I also love how they brought back a lot of the old cast of villains. Those things paired with upgradable mimic abilities, cool levels, nice graphics makes it well worth the 60 bones in my eyes.

I think the only people who actually get 100% in an hour per world are ones who already know where everything is and are purposely playing fast. I've watched plenty of streams of this game. For most players it's 1,5-2 hours per world without even getting 100%.

*SPOILERS BELOW* I got this game the day after it came out, and I can say it’s absolutely phenomenal. I can tell the development team really went all-out in terms of its mechanics, characters and environments. I especially love how the final boss was conceptualized- not something I was expecting, but it has an awesome design, and I like how Elfilin was made to be the other half of the main antagonist rather than being full-on evil like other Kirby villains who initially allied with Kirby. Overall, I’d give this game a solid 9/10. Definitely one of the best games I’ve played not only on the Switch, but quite possibly in my life as well. Also, if you’re reading this, BeardBear, thank you for uploading this walkthrough. Keep up the good work :)

Now imagine if Bandana Dee had a spinoff mode. That would be amazing because the main storyline makes sense. Parasol Dee from Kirby Star Allies (And other games with helpers) could be your partner similar to sword knight in KSSU's Meta Knightmare. The final boss could be something unique as well like Shadow Kirby. THAT would be the perfect chance to give the full RTDL crew their own unique spinoffs.

Yeah this game is pretty fun. Managed to avoid spoilers and went in almost completely blind (sans seeing the trailers). It’s a big, gloriously juicy game. I was somewhat miffed by the low copy ability count, as I assumed the evolutions would stop at mostly 2, and some having 3. But it was 3 on average and 4 for some of them. And what it had, used it very well.

i'm very new to this series (grew up with no consoles, believe it or not), so i'm currently playing the series from the start - or well, almost, I've started with Super Star Ultra. And i gotta mention one thing that i adore this game has done. The Waddle Dees and the evolution of their role in the series. they've gone from "waddle dees are the goombas of this game, the weakest enemy that doesn't even give anything special if consumed" to "waddle dees are the toads of this game, little generic but precious npcs that are 100% behind main character and their ruler". Best character development i've seen and i'm here for it.

While I have a lot of great memories playing video games with friends, I also have Many horrible ones from times I had to use certain video games to cope with Unbelievable Pain for days on end! By the way, High-Intensity Action games with Intuitive controls are Great for keeping your mind so engaged (in 5-20 min. bursts) that it's too busy to feel most of the pain! I figured this out around 22 years ago. Unfortunately, whatever game(s) you use will become personally associated with pain - to illustrate your point.

@@L.Alchemy That's true too. Going for 100% in Super Mario 64 DS is a pain if you don't know where to find all the stars - and some of them are hard as heck. Or if you are scared of heights and have to play Rainbow Ride, that can also be a struggle. But the satisfaction after getting these specific stars is especially big. So in the end, if you have good or bad memories of a game depends on the outcome of your efforts.

A very cool detail in the King Dedede fight at Winter Horns is that after you clear it for the first time, neither Kirby or Bandana Waddle Dee wave goodbye, cheer or celebrate after they get out of the stage in the minimap, doesn't matter if you saved all of the Waddle Dees in the stage or the entire world, they both stay completely silent, probably because of the sadness of losing Elfilin and the urge to rescue them, pretty cool!

Actually, one of the scrapped iterations of Kirby’s Return To Dream Land was a 3D platform game just like Forgotten Land, but it was scrapped and became a 2D platformer instead. Kirby’s Return To Dream Land was in development for 11 years before the game was finally released for the Wii

I recently got this game, and it was my first ever Kirby game, so I had a lot to learn as I played so this video helped me a lot especially when I decided to 100% this game without this video I would have taken much, much, MUCH longer to complete it so thanks for this video!!! You are amazing at this game. You saved all 300 Waddle Dees and I didn't. You are a hundred times better at this game than me! How did you know which abilities to use in the levels with the bosses? When I defeated Clawroline, I only saved 3 out of 7 Waddle Dees. The same thing with Forgo Dedede. In the Wondaria Remains Circuit Speedway, how did you do the race thing in 20 seconds?! Is it because you've played this game before?

@@mankdemes8887 They already did it before. In the Adventure games. Even the fan base got it right with SRB2. I’m not asking for Adventure 3 with all the bells and whistles or a bunch of characters. I just want that style of gameplay and level design to come back for Sonic.

I believe 06’s approach to it, at least in concept (p06 is a better example), is the best one imo. You have the adventure like style with super speed sections for situations where speed is truly needed.

@@rodrickgoldberg2324 sure but even in those games there were speed sections. platforming like in this game isnt really a for front. the only difference between the adventure games and the boost games is the boost, and all it did was make sonic go faster, and i thought that was the whole point. the only point where platforming mattered in a sonic game was when your playing a 2d sonic game or playing a charcter that isnt sonic or shadow.
