Quicksand is one of the most deadly obstacles ever in the Mario franchise. When Mario touches quicksand, he can get back up by jumping rapidly. However, some quicksand might drain him instantly. Mario has had many drowning problems with quicksand. Luckily, there are easy ways to avoid being sucked in. One way is to ride on the Koopa Shell from Mario 64. Here, he will simply surf in the sand without getting sucked in. Mario must be very careful though, as he can hit an obstacle on accident. If this happens, the Shell will be destroyed and Mario will fall. Another way to avoid getting sucked in is by using the wing cap from the same game. Mario will simply fly gracefully over the sand. Just watch the wing cap doesn’t run out (:

I may be wrong, but I believe the idea is that when you put a range of dates for a compilation, the dates should apply to the actual content. That means this should be called "Evolution of Mario Dying in Quicksand (1988-2017). Otherwise, saying "-2021" implies that the content goes up to 2021. So many people make this mistake. But think about it... if I said something like "Funniest moments from Friends (1994 - 2022)" you'd be like "Wait Friends is back?"
