Maybe the og is the real story, because there both were reacting according to the other's actions, like DK kidnapping the Toads and stealing the Mini-Marios for a second time because Mario and the Toads rubbed their victory on him by laughing histerically at his failure, only pissing him off, whereas here it's just Mario telling the story from his own perspective and bias, because here DK is just rude and bratty, and Mario and the Toads are forgiving angels, while also skipping details like Mario asking DK if he was okay after his fall in the faux final battle, in the og both did something bad, in the remake only DK's the one doing the bad Even in Bowser's Fury he had double thoughts when it came to helping Junior save Bowser, and Mario teased Bowser after he freed him from the black paint, knowing well Junior is holding him from his tail as if it was leash, more in line with the og than the remake

@@Gazing-09 I know, but still shows that while he's a good guy, he doesn't just jump into action all the time, he doesn't take lightly when people disrespect him like how DK did by stealing his merch (ignoring the remake), and isn't very fond when they disrupt his day off to help a cause he has the right to not give a hoot about like in Bowser's Fury, while still finding his amusement on an angry Bowser that isn't allowed to fight him for obvious reasons, and in Bowser's Fury he probably saved Bowser more to help the kitties than actually help Junior, because he was spreading the black paint that was polluting their lake, and while that came second, it could've worked as a better incentive to help Junior, and the way he mocks Bowser there vs how he mocked DK in the og game shows Mario's also matured and is not nearly as in your face as he was back then

It's comprehensible the remake for these days when humans will never treat any animal (such as gorilla) before reacting to made more negative than humans. For example: 10:41(spoilers), Three Toads crushed Donkey's hand before falling without thanking in original version. And in remastered version, Donkey tired to go back up the floor, before trying to fall himself.

Ok, so now I’m seeing more inconsistencies in the remake’s cutscenes… First, we dismiss the idea that Donkey went ALL THE WAY from DK Isles to the Mushroom Kingdom to buy a Mini Mario Toy. It turns out he’s a resident of both… Second, more dialogue from the original is missing… Third, the Toads in the factory INTENDED a delivery to DK Isles with the DK bag magically appearing when the Toads started panicking as Donkey steals the toys. When Mario catches up to him, no “HA HA HA, HEE HEE HEE, HO HO HO” to insult Donkey. Mario and DK literally ran around in complete circles (with original kinda implied it, but no indication whatsoever…) And upon his defeat, Donkey doesn’t burst into tears and Mario never scolded him before forgiving him. Ugh… Has Nintendo just become more soft than ever?! Also, fireworks? Seriously? After a heist was attempted, someone planned a fireworks show in the off-chance of Mario succeeding at stopping Dr. Robotnik wannabe Donkey Kong?

I knew Nintendo had toned down the violence and made it way more kiddy friendly and easier for way more younger players and they have skipped the other sound clips too and to make matters worse “Come Back here you big Monkey!” Is gone! Mario narrating the credits and thanking the player for playing the game… Gone! The death animations are so soulless the charm has been taken away as when Mario hits the OIL 🛢️🔥 he didn’t burn into a crisp and even when he’s on the wires performing a trick and falls down guess what… he comes back up without being upside down and start over like the original… One more thing the music is so unrecognised as I’m not a big fan of Jazz music and the trumpets don’t match the melody…

This is definitely the definitive version of Mario vs. Donkey Kong. It adds 2 new worlds, drops out the time and score bonuses, drops the stage high score, and makes some of the bosses easier. Just a shame they dropped out the gift box bonus game.

Like the Miniland Mayhem Version from NDS (2010), MVDK Genesis the Reborn now has a total of 18 different Boss Fights, previously 14. The 1st Half consist of Floors 1~8 (previously 1~6) and Sky Lobby, while the 2nd Half consist of Floors 9~16 (previously 7~12) and Rooftop. The Sky Lobby and the Rooftop are Final Bosses in the 1st Half and the 2nd Half respectively.
