As my dad used to say: "He cleans up well." You gave him a good looking cut. My hair has been receding for years. A couple years ago I noticed the top was thinning -a lot- and the crown had an almost bald spot. I was lucky to find a young barber that does excellent fades. I've found that keeping the crown very short with a high fade does a lot to make the thinning and hair loss less attention grabbing.

@curtispowell54814 жыл бұрын
James, you guys keep doing what you do! I totally get it. Most people commenting about the crown issue are not taking into consideration your client base. You guys keep killin' it my dudes. Dont pay too much attention to the comments. It's easy to sit back and pick apart someone's mistakes. Or perceived mistakes. You guys are doing a stellar job. One of the big things I think that was getting everyone bent out of shape was the other barber saying, "it doesnt have to be perfect."

always keep the crown, also never use thinning scissors on a man thats thinning its a no no, add texture with normal scissors and point cut
@Fd20y4 жыл бұрын
liam duffy my crown is think very think so much my scalp shows. Everywhere else grows long. So I decided to buzz my head down to a 2 guard but not over my crown area, that’s like a 2-3 anyway. Man it looks badass! I love it so much.
@jonathanshaefferdrums5 жыл бұрын
While I get your reasoning behind cutting into the crown... I don’t agree that it keeps a cut low-maintenance. When a cut short crown grows out it sticks up which creates more maintenance. Especially when you cut into it with texture shears. Short hair makes long hair stick up. I also don’t think you get a good shape off the head for the cut which effects the overall look and profile as well as negatively impacts the grow out and how long it looks good for the client. Granted, everyone does things different and this isn’t a bad cut at all. I love what you guys do and all. So no hard feelings. But I’m not about cutting into the crown.
@dalenixon19475 жыл бұрын
I agree with this. The quality of the cut is very good and he clearly looks better than he did before however the hair cut won't last as long as it grows out, which is higher maintenance as he will either have to stick his crown down with product or come back for another hair cut (good news for the barber). Also cutting high in the weight line does round the head off which isn't such a good look. I have thinning hair and hate the texturising shears being used on the top of the head. It makes the hair feel much thinner as it grows out because of the longer and finer hairs that are left. A blunt cut on top works best I find. Still looks good though...for now

I am going next week to cut my hair and trim beard. Honesty this is my first beard ever and it gets fuller every week or two. It looks good for me because nature of my beard is that really it grows in perfect line, so I am scared that they will destroy it if there is nothing special to trim, mybe a bit just. One guy gave me suggestion to go to one profesional barber shop so they can trim it....any suggestion, if everything is in line, is it necessary to trim beard?
@Beardbrand5 жыл бұрын
The important thing is you get the look that you want. If you think your beard looks great and you don't want to change it then don't. However, if you have a style you are looking for make sure you tell the barber what you want to do. The first time you get your beard trimmed can be the scariest. Feel free to message us before or after if you have more questions. -Mack
