Try (length to fork x girth x girth) ÷ 780 for wahoo (in inches), this will give you estimated weight in pounds if you don't have a scale handy. Standard formula for fish is (length x girth x 2) ÷ 800. Hope this helps!

Every Wahoo has two parasites in the stomach, it's a feature! It's also easier to freeze them for a day before actually fileting them, the skin comes off way easier that way.

Here is a formula that you can use to estimate the weight of a fish without a scale. 1. Weight of a fat-bodied fish. (bass, salmon) (length x girth x girth)/800. 2. Weight of a slender fish. (trout, northern pike) (length x girth x girth)/900. 3. Example: If a fish is 20 inches long and has a 12-inch girth, its estimated weight is. (20 x 12 x 12)/900. 2,880/900=3.2 pounds.
