Absolutely true that you cannot use beard oils for new hair growth. If this were true most women would look like wookies. The majority of oils used in beard oils are used by women around the world on a regular basis for their skin routines.
@ErikMCMLXV Жыл бұрын
If it could be used for new hair growth, it would probably be called, “ scalp oil, which can also be used on your beard”, or something like.

Yeah it is completely normal to be able to see through the beard in some conditions. I can see through mine if I am wearing a light jumper and it is a bright day.

Could you make a video on your daily routine these days with a longer beard? Also when do you recomen to include a dryer on your routine?

So the skin thats not covered by a beard do u just rinse with water?
@darthblade20166 ай бұрын
That is usually what i do, but i do just lightly scrub it with body wash occasionally as well. I know there are many facial scrub products out there, but i want to use as few as possible.

These essential oils, I assume they're the same ones that are used for aromatherapy or diffusers as scents? Could I use oils used for perfumery and mix them in scentless oil as well or are those different?
@darthblade20166 ай бұрын
From what I have read and heard from trusted beard names on KZbin, I believe some of them are the same, but I would caution against using those oils on the beard unless they are specifically meant for use on the skin. I'm sure there are oils that are fine for being dispersed in the air, but may cause a reaction if applied directly to the skin. Just be careful man!

How can I grow facial hair at 18 ?

@@hardinmichael1981 and give it time, 30 days is the recommendation. I'm at 3 weeks rn and it's now starting to look like I have really good potential. You gotta go longer than a week because different areas grow at different rates.

I’ve always had a mustache but at 18 I started growing my goatee it was really think and it was much over the yrs it started to thicken out and grow fuller at 20 I noticed I was growing a beard also really think and not full at all I’ll be 23 in oct and my beard is thicken out and closing In give it time you’ll get there but if your family has beards you should too if they don’t then there’s no hope my moms side they all have huge beards and my dads they have 3 hairs in their chin so I’m guessing it mix in to be a late boomer

When you’re young (teens/early twenties) your beard is going to normally be “patchy” and thin. A short crisply groomed beard, goatee, or mustache works great for younger men. Even stubble is very popular. Just keep it neat and well groomed no matter what style or length works well for your face. The notion that shaving helps your hair grow in any way is bullshit. It’s just a myth. Hair growth is a biological process that occurs inside the follicle. Shaving is just a mechanical process of cutting the hair - it cannot effect the biology of the follicle. Get a decent beard trimmer with plenty of guards and keep it relatively short at first. As you get used to having hair on your face and seeing what pattern it’s growing in on your face then you can experiment with style and length. Don’t compare your beard to anyone else’s beard. You are a unique person with a unique face and unique genetics, there for you will have a unique beard. A good beard soap is Honest For Men beard wash from Maple Hill Naturals. Bossman beard conditioner is very good though I don’t recommend their other products. For beard oils I recommend Detroit Grooming Company and Beardbrand. They’re both on the expensive side but worth it. Don’t over do it with beard oil! It’s very easy to do and a hard habit to break. With dry hands apply 2-3 drops to a damp beard (when your beard is short). I don’t like beard balms or anything with much beeswax. The more stuff you put in your beard the more you have to take out with harsher beard washes. For the most part I prefer simply rinsing my beard with water only and applying beard oil after my shower. I’ll use the wash and conditioner a couple times a week. Most days it’s just water and beard oil. Use a a good extra wide tooth comb or a slotted brush in the shower to gently exfoliate the skin under the beard during the shower. Wet Brush (brand) make a slotted brush that is excellent for the shower. It’s also a really good detangling brush. A good boars hair brush is good to smooth out the beard after applying the beard oil. Now that my beard is longer (3-4 inches from bottom of my chin) I prefer horse hair brush. But a boars hair brush is fine for short beards. I find boars hair brushes tend to tug while horse hair gently pushes my beard hair. There’s a lot of great beard companies making a lot of great products. Start with a local company and branch out from there. Pay close attention to the ingredients in the beard oils especially and you will find some products make it feel better or worse. I have found that I don’t like grape seed oil (I think because it doesn’t have a very long shelf life, it tends to go bad quickly, maybe). But bottom line is not cutting it when you want it to grow longer, having patience, and enjoying the process of discovering your own beard and style. Keep on growing.

Natural beard oil does growth the beard if you put it in the skin
@flawlessstrategy99722 жыл бұрын
I bought a brush that was real cheap, like $6. Turns out, it had really hard, scratchy bristles that hurt. Then I thought, beard oil makes beard hair soft, maybe it will make these bristles soft. So I keep the brush in a plate and just pour some oil in and rub the brush all in it, and then into my beard. The oil will stay in the brush too, so several times a day, when in the bathroom, i'll just grab the brush and brush my beard and I can feel, see, and smell the oil being applied to my beard. Just bought me a new brush though. A good one. :)

Brisk grooming citrus beard oil from CVS. Brisk also has a tea tree beard oil but I have not tried it. It may be good but it’s not my favorite scent profile. Honest Amish Pure unscented beard oil from Walmart or Amazon or the honest amish website. They have scented oils as well, but they have very mixed reviews. Beardbrand stone mason beard oil from Target. The stone mason scent is better than the lumber yard scent in my opinion even though the stone mason is so light it’s almost unscented. “Live Bearded” also has some good options. Probably my favorite at the moment is Detroit Grooming Company. Their “Black” label is great as is “downtown” their unscented oil. Their “corktown” seems appealing to me but I haven’t tried it yet. Hope this helps.

I have Honest Amish, about $12 on Amazon (2 oz.) and Okay Men's Castor Oil. (4oz) is only about $7 on Amazon. Both seem really good, and both smell good. I think the Castor Oil has a much stronger smell but they are both nice. They have some (scent) notes that are even similar to some of my colognes. I usually just use a bit of each. :)
