Evening all! Hope you’re all having a merry little week. Thanks for tuning in for another video; really, your support has been incredible all year long. I think this one could be a world first, so I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed eating it (really deep fried parsnips could be the greatest discovery of the decade). I’ll be back with another episode this Sunday, if you’ve had enough of Tim Allen movies, oh and keep your eyes peeled over the course of the next few hours for something special ;)

Gonna try anyway Beard... Peel the sprouts, stir-fry them with bacon, union, garlic and eat with a nice piece of meat and some boiled potatoes. Or mash them and mix it all up. Simply delicious. Thing is, its the core of the sprouts that give the bitterness. If you don't include that, you're good.

IN the mid-late 70s (1976 i think) we had a very hot dry summer and there was a shortage of potatoes for chips. I do have mushy peas at Christmas. As well as Brussels, which I love.

Yeah I've never seen a battered/breaded turkey leg but in the states people to fry whole turkey's, When they're done right it's amazing... ive thought about trying it myself but I don't want to buy all the stuff needed for it and I found my preferred method of brining and cooking my turkeys a long time ago

I love turkey leg! Always have it for roasts. The key is to use a fork to get the meat off the tendons and bones, use it like a comb.

I love brussel sprouts. I have a bag in my freezer. I had fresh some from the local farmers in the area during the summer.

I used to hate brussel sprouts, but I learned that if you put them in a pot with a knob of butter, coat them in Texas Pete Hot Sauce, and then top them with a healthy amount of McCormick's Brown Sugar & Bourbon seasoning... it is amazing! It cuts the bitterness.

Hey Beard ... i like that you don't go overboard plugging the places you eat at... dropping their name at the start and complimenting the food if you feel it's worthy seems enough. You haven't sold out and i'll keep watching you throw food down your neck for that and many other reasons. Merry Xmas to you and yours.

Go to the South in the US. Fried turkey is very popular. It is not battered, but they fry turkeys whole!
