I think this song is about Billie having a conversation with her former self. At first I thought she was referring to some other person, a woman, a man, etc. but in the video it's just her reflecting on herself. Also the beginning and end with the split image of herself in the mirror eludes to either a split personality or two people in one person. IMO, that is the "Male Fantasy" which most guys will say is to be with two women at once. Billie is both of these people contained in one person. She does paint such a wonderful story with so little words. Such a great artist.

This is the last song on the album and she said "Happier Than Ever" would have been too negative to end on. So this song is more hopeful at the end. Knowing she can't resort to hate even though she's been hurt.
