Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. These have been the most helpful that I’ve found on the internet for my Patrol build.

The techniques shown here apply to all aircraft scratch building… he is building a Bearhawk , but the zenair and sonex go together in a similar way.. Much appreciated to put these valuable skills online

Another awesome series of videos. I have a couple of questions: 1) Do you have plans for that larger metal bender? That thing is seriously impressive. 2) How big is the working area of your cnc? Did you build that yourself?

I don't have plans for my bender and if I was going to make another one I would use a continuous hinge. I did build the cnc router kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJzSpGelndeJrpI it has a 20" x 64" cutting area.

@@BSpotBuilds I was wondering about the same thing, as I'd like to build one. If you wouldn't mind sharing the dimensions of the thing (and any build tips), I'd be happy to model it in Solidworks and then generate a set of drawings to send you. Then you could make those available to people who are interested, at your discretion. I'd for one greatly appreciate it!

@@bluehornet6752 I assume you are talking about the bender. It is just two 10 foot lengths of 4" angle with large hinges on the end. Then I added a steel truss to each side and bolted to my work bench. With some shimming the whole thing is flat. But I have had issues with bending, and while I have found ways to over come them, I would not promote it as the way to go.

Really appreciate the detailed explanations in your videos. When you say you used a string line was it elevated off the table or just pulled tight flat in the table to make reference marks and then removed?

I marked some reference lines on the table using a line and rule. When I clamped the spare to the table I line it up on the table line. Before I installed the ribs I ran a line down the top of the spare to make sure it was also straight before drilling the ribs to the spar.
