Since this is two years old now.. How did it work out replacing the bearing cap with the same old cap? UFP says not to use the old one, but to replace with new. I used an old one and it blew off going back from the tire shop! Yes, I used Loctite. I'd sure like a reply! I ordered some replacement caps but they are lost in space with the Post Office. I either have to buy some bearing buddies or use and another used vault cap.

I reuse my bearing caps. I lose a bearing cap about once a year...random tire. Sometimes it’s a new cap, sometimes it’s an old cap. I always carry a spare cap. I use loctite as well.
