Hey, I've been super happy to watch your new videos, I'd been hoping for a while that you'd be back since I like a lot your heartfelt comments and unpretentious discussions on books. (I discovered a few Australian authors thanks to you, cheers) The only issue is the sound level of your latest videos, I can only manage to hear with the volume all the way up, which wasn't the case with the previous ones. Still, thanks for your videos, always a pleasure to watch, and listen, ah ah. Pierre (from France)

I went to Nikki’s book launch for Crows Nest earlier this year and was fascinated listening to her background. Part of me did find it a little off putting at first reading about street names and places very close to me but at the same time I felt almost part of the story as I was able to recognise lots of places. I think it helps to distinguish between other small towns and makes a story more relatable. I am currently studying Human Services and have done a placement with child protection so I found that connection to the main character interesting. The only issue I had was with the main character, I found her unprofessionalism mind blowing. Allowing the young boy who lived next door to her help with the case and letting him go with her to the house of the murdered women was too far fetched for a child protection officer.
