I followed you boys a long time, see and listened to you both talk about a lot of young QB's and QB's in general. I'm glad I'm here for this conversation.....we got our QB!!! 🥹 Bear Down!!

I’ve been saying this for the last several years but I’ll say it again. The thing that EVERY fan and anyone who covers the NFL needs to realize is the first 3 to four weeks of the season is an extended preseason. It used to be that week one would be a bit shaky but you knew what kind of team you were going to have. However with players not playing in preseason anymore week 4 is basically like week one used to be. We have to ignore what happened the first three weeks because I think the last two weeks is more of what we should expect. There are still a lot of things that need to be cleaned up but 10 wins should be the minimum number they win.

As well as some plays and formations are put on tape the first few weeks and then the good/great OCs start to run things off of earlier season tape. Waldron has started to do this and it will keep defenses from keying on certain looks/formations and their tendencies.

Very hard schedule towards the end of the year I think anything past 7 wins is great for a rookie season

I love the way Caleb was changing the play calls at the O line. I have never seen a Bears QB control the O line and play calling like that. He looked like Peyton Manning with the way he was changing play calls constantly. It was a thing of beauty. I could get used to watching this type of football form the Bears.

Yeah. Especially bears fans saying he was a bust? All silent now. Or they are complaining it was only the Panthers

@@richmargin6082 It's funny when people say this but also it was never close. Executed all 3 phases at a high level. That is exactly what good teams should do.

Bears win and parts of the fan base can't just enjoy the fact that we have what looks like our franchise QB, but instead feel the need to poke prod and call out idiots in this fan base who wrote this kid off after 3-4 games. Just enjoy the win celebrate CWs progress and leave them to they're misery. Also he's going to have ups and downs accept them and enjoy the ride.
@richmargin60824 күн бұрын
@@ProfKisuto exactly!! If it is so easy then how did the raiders lose to them? How did 49ers lose to 1-3 cardinals? You still have to beat the weak teams! And the Bears dominated the panthers the way they should. Other teams beat them badly. Imagine if we won 14-10. Then i would be concerned and we still have to wait until caleb develops. But not the case

Great game by Caleb, and Fields is gone. But can we *finally* evaluate Fields for the QB he is (or should be)? When we discuss other running dual threat QBs total yards are given not passing yards. Lamar Jackson only has eight 300 yd passing games in his eighth season and he as 2 MVPs. Fields doesn't need to string 300 yds passing games if he's also rushing for 60 yds a game. Fields has had 5 games of 300 total yards. Also QBs with 350+ yds on 50+ attempts and 2 INTS lose close to 80% of the time. Caleb's game against the Colts is the kind of game that gets you a top-3 draft pick not the playoffs.

The QB he is? Terrible 4th quarter QB, losing record, terrible pass stats. There is a reason no other team wanted him.
@avidsiman4 күн бұрын
The improvement Caleb Williams has shown is reminiscent of Jim McMahon's rookie season. McMahon started rough throwing 5 INTs in his first 5 quarters of play, but settled down to throw 9 TDs and 1 INT the rest of the season including 137 consecutive passes without an INT to close the season en route to winning NFC rookie of the year. McMahon's season was cut short due to the NFL strike, but if he had played a full season on that trajectory, he would've finished with 3,200 yards, 22 TDs and 9 INTs, which is almost the same pace Caleb Williams is on right now.

It sounded on the cast I watched like Caleb was calling out 32 then Shelton said they're fucking firing and Caleb said yeah and checked to 22
