Beartooth is one of several bands that helped my depression and anxiety. Good heavy music goes a long way.

That why I listen to rock and metal. People who don't tend to think it make you angry, depress, or suicidal, when in my opinion it's the opposite. I listen to acts like Beartooth, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, and Bring Me the Horizon to name a few, because their music speaks to me, show I'm not alone with my felling, and their hard, aggressive style of expression relates to the way I tried to deal with issues.

I spent 5 years stuck in a broken marriage which ended when I found out that my wife cheated on me with a friend we had allowed to live with us as a favor to him. I considered (and even made some preparations) to end... everything. Fat. Sad. Lost. Broken. Defeated. The worst part looking back is that, if you had asked me if I was happy, I wouldn't have even hesitated to answer yes. Man, I didn't even know what happy was. I made a choice the day I found out she cheated. The old me was dead, and the new me was all that mattered. Met my best friend shortly after, who introduced me to my current wife a few months later. Everyday, I wake up next to her, and the rest of my day is perfect. It doesn't matter what happens from here on out - I'm unbreakable. Never give up on yourself. Ever.

The contrast from Ernesto to Katie was almost comedic and ruined the video for me, “ I served 15 years and came back from deployment to an empty home and my family left me.” To “I moved to LA and like I didn’t have friends so like I was kinda depressed so I started rock climbing.” Good on bear tooth for the inspirational video but fuck that was a terrible choice.

i think what we all should remember is that you can always seek help if you're feeling sad or unhappy in any way. for mental illnesses there isn't like obvious line between "sick" and "healthy" and too often people think that they aren't sick enough to get help. then it gets worse and day after day it's even harder to try to recover with or without help. if you are in doubt please try to talk about it to at least someone!

I deal with anxiety and depression without being medicated, and this song/video tugs at my heart strings. The power of these peoples' stories helps me. We that have these issues try to cope, and it will never be easy, but stuff like this helps. Some people may think they're doing this for attention, but it's so real. I hadn't even seen the video for this song when I heard it on satellite radio, and when I did see it, I cried. It means so much to me when people post stuff about this disorder.

I personally don't have a problem with depression at all, but I have had many close family and friends, struggle with it. I have seen depression and anxiety at its finest. I have even seen it push people off the edge, to the point where they tried to take their own life right in front of me. Though I personally don't struggle with it myself, it still affects me through others. The band Beartooth has taught me a lot about how to deal and cope with it and how to help other through it. I just want to thank all of Beartooth, not just the band , but everyone involved. Thank You.

I'm struggling with my disease as I type this, sitting in front of the one thing that's keeping me alive: my son. Even medicated this is trying to destroy me, and its music like this, this raw, this emotional, that helps. Caleb speaks to me through his music and I'm reminded it's okay to be broken and hurt and struggle. I just need to keep fighting. When I can't fight for myself, I fight for my son. He's only just going to be 2 in July. He needs me. And sometimes I need him. Thank you, Caleb, for putting words and sound and an expressiveness to all these things I feel and deal with, but can't do that myself.

I quit after 6 years spending at a dead end job which made me sacrifice all my relationships. And I just simply didn't know what to do with myself. I realized I'd been depressed all along without even realizing it and oddly letting a job like this go just made it worse because getting used to something that not even close to your true self is the worst. I had a long way becoming the person who I am today but I'm still not complete. People like Caleb have been saving my life every day, showing me how I life can be lived how goal can ba achived by doing what you love and not giving up. And looking back to the days when I was close to take my own life away... I'm just glad I didn't. Stay strong people! Life is to short for not doing things that you live for, and not spending time with the people you love.
