Attention Battlers or any contract workers: Battlers need to start adding a clause in the contract that in case of a no-show, the league has a certain amount of time to set up and execute the next battle or they forfeit the deposit. Basically the league has a loop-hole in the contract as of now that would technically allow them to leave a battler in limbo indefinitely. Beasley says he can just repay the deposit but what about the time/resource costs incurred by the battler during this time? What about the opportunity cost of not being able to book other events? Should they not recoup anything? Needs to be in the contract they atleast get to keep a percentage of the deposit for a no-show due to no fault on their own. That's a more fair contract actually. If I'm planning a wedding and a hire a photographer, I pay a deposit and let's say the wedding gets called off a day before the event, that photographer is going to keep a percentage if not all of the deposit I gave them. Not sure what the URL contract looks like but hopefully Battlers see this post.

That battle was more than likely the key negotiating factor in the contract. The only thing that I do agree with from the business side is that you cannot ask out of your contract obligations, and also keep the money because the money you’re getting is contingent upon you completing the battle so he was given the first half of money for presumably the daylyt battle. The multiple battle contracts are not written with specific peoples name in it, it just states you have to complete X amount of battles and more than likely there is a longer timeframe stipulated that these battles have to occur. Right that's what I think people are missing. Let's say URL gave Shine 30k to battle with 15k paid on the front end and the other 15k on the back end. Url is not going to let him keep the 15k let him out of the contract and they don't have a completed battle. That makes no sense. These battlers don’t understand that you can’t get paid in full for something, not pay the money back, and then expect to be released from the contract when the battle doesn’t happen. For this specific battle both of them were paid in full upfront, when the contracts were signed, so since the battle never happened, day is going to be battling Twork to complete his obligation. Shine doesn’t want to battle replacements that would equate to what he was paid to battle Day but he also spent the money he was paid so he is still obligated. Those contracts definitely stipulate what happens if the battle doesn’t happen. He needs to either pay back the money OR talk to them to see how many high level opponents he needs to get on stage against to clear what Day would’ve been. Simple business.

I honestly don’t care who’s right or wrong because at the end of the day these people been doing business together for a decade. The way these contracts work is that the battlers are fronted a first half and then get their second half after the battle. It sounds like K-Shine was fronted a first half for Daylyt and Daylyt backed out and they replaced Daylyt with Jakk and Jakk backed out. He still owes them a battle because of that first half. Shine believes he can keep the first half since both niggas backed out and he showed up. URL believes he still owes them a battle because he has the first half. From what Shine is saying URL is in the right. He has to fulfil his last battle. In this case Beasley is on camera, which by law is binding and damming evidence, stating that K-Shine is free out of his contract if he gives back his first half advancement. Seems simple. Shine just needs to give back his first half and he's done. The thing is though battlers spend that shit the second they get it. Shine probably getting paid 15 to 20 racks a battle. He probably doesn't have the 10 or 7.5 to give them. URL is about their business. They're not going to let a contracted battler battle for other leagues. It sets a precedent.
