Beast from Korea achieved the impossible at the 2017 Sambo world championships in sochi
• Sensation in the sambo... - Tajik Behruz Khojazoda becomes world champion

What Korean sambist KO Seo Hyeon at the 2017 world sambo championships shocked plenty of Sambo lovers. South Korean team won gold for the first time in Combat Sambo. Final in -82 kg category with him an the Belorussian athlete was simply captivating. I suggest you watch their pre final matches as well. What KO did before the final was something else, beautiful throws, knock out and unusual combos. You need to watch best moments of that tourney

Sambo is a versatile sport because it has large amount of techniques in standing position as well as on the ground. Why can't you throw an opponent who's equal or stronger opponent? There are two main reasons. First - you're setting up and doing the throw wrong, and the second you're predictable and everyone knows your moves. In both cases your technique is flawed and something has to be changed. All progressive MMA fighters are incorporating sambo submissions. It's easily explainable due to limited time on the ground ( 2-5 seconds to catch and another minute to complete ). Sambists research the fastest and most effective ways to finish for years. Why does everyone want to finish fast? It's an opportunity to finish in style and preserve your energy. I know the taste of quick finishes like no other. 25 years in sambo, 13 World Championships in which i earned 2 golds, 4 silvers, 1 bronze and most importantly 90% of my victories happened before regulation time expired. I spent 20000 hours

Harai tsuri komi ashi maybe?
@jsl8461
@jsl8461 5 жыл бұрын
I don't know the proper Russian names, but in Judo commentators would call this "deashi barai" or maybe even "kosoto gari". The energy and execution is much more like a traditional deashi barai though, even if the foot placement is a bit modified.
@bla7091
@bla7091 5 жыл бұрын
@@jsl8461 rather than sweeping a moving leg (deashi barai) or hooking into it (kosoto gari) it's more of a lifting technique on a static opponent (which translates to harai). Sweeps are mostly about timing and the lifts rely more on positioning.
@jsl8461
@jsl8461 5 жыл бұрын
Deashi-barai has the word "harai" in it. The base verb is "harau" which means "to sweep", eg: "yuka wo harau" means "to sweep the floor". "Deashi barai" roughly translates into "single foot sweep" or "sweep of the front leg" (in Japanese an "h" often becomes a "b" in compound words). In classical demonstrations of the technique, both deashi barai and okuri ashi barai involve lifting the opponent's weight with your hands to make them light (combined with some foot work), and sweeping their legs out from underneath them. I'm not one of those persons who cares much about judo names. There is quite a bit of overlap, and quite frankly, it doesn't matter to me whether something is uchi mata or hane goshi. But I watch a ton of judo, I speak Japanese, and I learned judo in Japan. I don't think any professional judo commentator would ever classify that throw as "harai tsurikomi ashi". Harai tsurikomi ashi is (like sode tsurikomi ashi) a technique that is exclusively applied to placing tori's foot on uke's shin while pulling uke forward. In other words, it is a forward throw; I have never seen it used to describe a backwards throw like this one. Most commentators would classify it as a very deep "deashi barai" because that best describes the energy. However, the entry very much looks like kosoto gari, although it does not have a strong forward drive on the finish (that hallmark of classical kosoto gari). I could see a commentator classifying it as kosoto gari in the heat of the moment.

If know how to solve south paw then this Korean fighter is nothing. Normal right handed use to lose left handed coz they normally fight with right vs right. Not only fighting sports, all kind of sports left handed gets advantage. But there is method how to break the code of left handed.
