Basic Attack scaling is so bizarre, because of the way different character combo damage works... Examples Jaco, Raditz and Nappa do better basic that Blue Goku or UI Goku, despite the stats saying otherwise. A lvl.120, 200 basic Female Saiyan does about the same amount of basic as lvl.120 max height and weight Namekian, Male Saiyan and Male Earthling with 0 in basic attack.

They just smacked the keyboard a bunch, deleted the numbers, forgot they needed those, re-did them, deleted the letters this time and that’s what we got on release.

I'd imagine there's a system in place similar to motion values in Monster Hunter, where each specific animation has a damage value tied to it, and Basic Attack level is just multiplied through some formula on top of that. They should still make it visible to the player in some way, though. For Monster Hunter, around the 3rd gen era, they used to do weapon class scaling, where the "true" value for weapon attack shown to the player was altered based on how much damage each weapon class does in a single hit. Nowadays, they don't scale weapon attack values anymore, but that's only because motion values are readily available online and a majority of the playerbase knows roughly how much damage each of the ~14 weapon classes deal in comparison to each other (plus modified attack values probably made the playerbase skewer more towards weapons with higher attack numbers, like the Greatsword and Hammer). Xenoverse has 100+ characters to account for, which includes 8 that have varying levels of basic attack.

1. You CAN use demon flash strike as a counter just make sure the damage would kill.... It does like almost a full healthbar and when you said you couldn't it WOULD have killed him...and on top of this if you use the counter with HIGH STAMINA your stamina will come back really quick so im return they would hit you with like maybe an ult... But you would be able to evasive away so its not like it even matters... 2. Having high stats is MEANINGLESS without the skills to back it up... And as it stands gohans only skills that are damage focused are the counter and the ult and the counter is VERY risky (i kinda like it this way so people dont just spam it...) 3. Ki cancels are not the end all be all of cheap tricks in this game so stop bitching everytime you see it... If YOU don't wanna use them thats fine but just cuz someone else uses it aint mean the end of the world... They be block spamming and grabbing... This tactic is ESPECIALLY EFFECTIVE with final form frieza because after his grab you can death wave... THAT shit is cheap... Not ki cancels... Ki stuns are a bit annoying if there spammed back to back but even then its not as bad as block spamming and grab spamming

Punishing poor gameplay is a core part of any fighting game and ki cancels almost completely remove any kind of punishment from incorrectly using a combo and ki canceling yourself isn’t even a counter. At least most other cheese is self-countered. You’re free to stop watching if his “bitching” is too much for you.
