For bonus trivia, the founder of Beast in Black is Anton Kabanen, formerly of Battle Beast, and a lot of Beast in Black is the direction Anton wanted to take Battle Beast in before he split from them. The upshot of all this drama is we now have two awesome power metal bands, fronted by Noora and Yannis, instead of just one.

- This guy doesn't ever need to duet. He nailed "Ghost Love Score" in key on his personal KZbin channel - Even though there isn't a music video or official live performance (yet) I'd highly recommend "Ghost In the Rain". His voice gets so light and tender in that one it goes into Celine Dion territory. Before adding layer upon layer of strength and distortion into a restrained crescendo. - Alternatively, do "Moonlight Rendevous" (allround performance with a cyberpunk video), "Cry Out For a Hero" (higher end), "From Hell With Love" (catchy) or "Born Again" (mid range)

Beast in Black was formed by Anten after getting kicked out of Battle Beast. This is Beast in Black's first single, and so many peoples' jaw just dropped hearing this song. There's always a dice roll when someone gets kicked out of a band and forms another, and it almost is never as mind-blowing as this song. There's actually 2 singers. The scratchier one is Anten, the main guitarist, and they know how to mix the two vocalists together. I can almost hear Let It Go in this song.

Not sure there exist a high quality recording of Daniel Heiman doing "The One".(live, or even a video) Which is the inherent problem of breaking that song down. Not ideal doing one for a 11 minute album track showing only the cover. Could perhaps do the one Pellek has. It's a cover, but he pulls it off as good as possible for a Heiman song, and doing it bare-chested, you can almost anatomically see the strain on the vocal chords.

Literally just saw them open for Nightwish in Birmingham, UK. Never heard of them before but they DEFINITELY on my play list now. Great fun live, and on point! Lead singer can hit those notes LIVE!

Elizabeth the “bear claw” you mentioned is a gesture we use in metal especially in black metal and death metal. From the vocalist to the other instrumentalists. Often posing in Pictures. We sometimes called it the claw of doom. We imagine holding a skull like in Hamlet. We did it in my band often I had no idea opera singers did it as well! Please analyze Yannis’s cover of Ghost love score.
@RobMedellin3 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's "holding a skull" or anything physical... For me it's a way to channel power, a way to empower yourself... Like goku or something like that creating a power orb

I remember seeing it in a Strong Bad e-mail about death metal, where you sing from the cockles of your lungs while gripping an orb of power in each hand,

OH MY GOODNESS! I Saw this guy, Yanis, in a youtube video with another vocalist I like a lot, Ryan Strain - AMAZING singer - and had no idea he was in a band! I saw the thumbnail and hoped it was him, turns out it is! I went to watch the original after your video and love the introduction to this band! I am so excited to get into them and love your analysis. :D

Was there an official video to that one released though? I don't know if she'd react to just a lyric video. I love that song though, along with "Ghost in the Rain"

He does a crazy cover of Ghost Love Score that I'd like to hear you go over, but it would make sense if you don't want to put a second version of a song up that you've already gone over. Especially seeing as how it would be the second time for this artist too.

I have so many recommendations. I am so fascinated by the ins and outs of your analyze. I love story telling in songs and tend to go into the rock/metal genre a lot. So thats where a lot of these are from. Three days grace - Never Too late Five finger death punch wrong side of heaven. Motionless in White Another Life. Disturbed - inside the fire. Cinderella - Don't know what you got until its gone. Asking Alexandria Moving On. Black Veil Brides In The End. Falling In Reverse Drugs (this features Cory Taylor). Like a storm love the way you hate me. Skillet Last Night. Evanscence - everybodys fool. Some other bands Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, In This moment, The Pretty Reckless, Cinderella, Journey, Def leppard, whitesnake, thats all I can think of at the moment. lol

I've watched a decent number of your videos @The Charismatic Voice, and this song must have been SPECTACULAR in your eyes because I've never seen you have to stop so many times to talk about things you loved, and go BACK OVER things so many times because of how much you liked it. I’ve been playing these guys on repeat for a while now and know exactly what you mean when you say the ending of the chorus is so satisfying! Their music just hits those happy places in my brain. I’d be very surprised if they didn’t take influence from like mid 2000s jpop and eurobeat
