Hello, my friend. In general, there is a stall, but this time it's in your favour. In the West, EOmer and Eomund continue the push against Angmar to help the Dunedain. In this point, I think I discovered something: You come and take a town, you give it to your ally and it has no garrison. Then you come back, reclaim it, give it again to your ally and this appears to be the time that it gets a garrison. I suppose it's something from Med 2... This happened in Undertowers, something that can be of good use. This way, the Dunedain will have an army, maybe small or weak, but at least an army. About the Elfs, I suggest not to give them Ost-in-Edhil yet, but only if you are in position to give them Bruinost and Annon-en-Orrod, as they are in the way south from Imladris. If you manage to complete this quest, then your western front will be secure enough to turn your attention to other matters. In the East, I still have no clue of your intentions, whether you willl occupy those regions or you'll give them to Gondor. In any case, I expect to see after your attack to Minas Tirith with Theoden - how lore accurate is this, albeit with another Nazgul! And now, let's add a small episode for our story: While Eomer and Eomund kept on their fight against Angmar, Theoden won a series of battles in Calenhad and was sucessful in repelling a very strong force. But as Theoden left, new forces came in and attacked the region. Theoden didn't want another nig battle, but rather took the army of the road and got to the nearby forest. There, hidden from all eyes under the heavy curtain of trees and branches and leafs, he called his captains and commanders for a council in his tent. "It's very tiring going back and forth all the time", a captain of horse archers said upon the question. "This wears the men, giving the impression that nothing goes well and they gorw complaining and whining". "Definitely", a captain of the Lancers continued. "I hope that we can break this as soon as possible. Or else this grows to a war of attrition, where we all know how big of an advantage does Mordor have". "My suggestion to the King", said a Shieldmaidens captain, "is to break this stalemate. If we can attack to a place from where these armies come, this will relieve the press upon Calenhad and Cair Andros. My suggestion is Minas Tirith itself. It's within our grasp". Many of the captains and commanders agreed with nods and murmurs with this suggestion and Theoden also showed his appreciation to this suggestion. "I have the intention to call for a spy", Theoden said. "I will send him to spy before us. I want to know what lies in front of us". "And possibly open the doors", the first captain said. "If we can achieve at least this, it would be of great help. As if we get into a siege with a big defensive force, a lot of time will be spent doing nothing and simply waiting for them to attack or surrender. I doubt if this will be good for the army". Also many agreed, and Theoden again showed his appreciation. "A messenger should go to tell Elfhelm to stay behind us and await my orders", the King said and the second captain offered himself as a volunteer, then, with the permission of the King, gave the command to his second and left running. Just a bit later, the captain of his bodyguards came to the tent of the King with good news. "Our spy succeeded", he said speaking quickly. "There are good hopes that Minas Tirith will be ours. It's a very good opportunity". Theoden waited for a while, as the captain explained him his actions: the spy managed to infiltrate and got in the full control of the Doors of Gondor, the big gate of the lowest of the Seven Circles of the city. Only one unit was inside, the city was left very vulnerable and almost defenseless. Then, as the King was resting, he sent under his orders a vanguard to see the situation and set the siege. The report was that the gates were under their control and upon the attack they wil be open. "Immediately!", said Theoden. "Army up, we ride full speed. We must arrive before the sun rises!". "Not so fast", the captain said and Theoden saw a sign of caution, perhaps fear. "The city is almost defenseless, but the battle will be big. As we have a great enemy in front of us". "Who is it?", Theoden asked. "Someone we know?". "Zagar", the captain said. "Don't speak anymore", Theoden said immediately. "And don't announce it. But really, I'm not afraid of them. I've beaten Saruman to death and avoided his machinations. I've seen what Evil can do. As long as I stand, no shadow will fall over me". The captain simply nodded. "But caution", Theoden continued. "Only Zagar seems dubious. Maybe we'll have something more on us, possibly some defenders, that our spy didn't see yet. Good you sent the vanguard. We go and together we'll have the attack. Let's not take non-sensical risks". Again the captain, this time with more hope and courage, nodded again, deeper at this second time.

I love the first 50-100 turns of this game. The next 200 turns are a slog once the Great Beasts and Trolls arrive. I would love a mod where if you give a town away you should be able to gift like 500 gold per unit of sellsword garrison units up to 2000 gold x 4 units. Anything like that to make it more viable.
