Fast lap with the official Nürburgring AMG GT R Taxi with a professional fast racing driver and passenger.
Really fun to see how the turbo's of the GT R help it go a lot faster.
I was able to pass him because he kept to the speed limit at Breidscheid :)

You’re an amazing driver and you know every inch of that track man. Straight away the AMG is a monster, but when it comes to turns and corners, the Porsche’s are just simply amazing; they’re glued to the road.

Don't forget that we don't see here the stock 991.2 GT3 RS but the Manthey Racing version. No doubt the GT3 RS is a reference in track cars but this has to be mentioned to be fair to the AMG GTR which is an incredible car and also fast in corners (I had a 911.1 GT3 RS and now intensively track an AMG GTR)

You carry more entry and exit speed in the corners compared to the AMG, on the straights the extra torque from the turbochargers supporting the V8 gives it the edge.. I can see a fair fight here

The gt3rs is the faster car its got better brakes thats why he can brake a bit later than the amg, with the manthey pack its no surprise that the gt3rs has the edge in corners it would have had that even stock, 6.56 nordschleife for a stock gt3rs 7.04 for a stock Gtr but i have to give it to the guy in gtr hes doing a great job in there!

Wow, what a classic horsepower vs. handling duel! Porsche dude rips right up the Benz's tail in the tight twisties, Mercedes vanishes into the next dimension when the road straightens out. You get the feeling the Benz driver gets the "Star Wars" light speed effect when he lets that monster engine go. It was more like a game than a race, with both cars making sure that they weren't getting any unfair advantage in passing slower cars. It also shows why all the downforce devices (huge wings, etc) are so necessary: these cars would be three meters in the air at these speeds if they weren't being shoved into the pavement with aerodynamics.

@@jpracing893 The Porsche is a more balanced creation based on decades of improvement of every system. The AMG is more like they told the engineers, "what if we gave you 700 Nm of torque? Could you keep it stuck to the track?" I'm always surprised at how well they handle: in most videos they seem to blow through the "duel" that is being filmed and pull away from (nearly) everything. Just amazing. The one opportunity to prove Einstein wrong: keep the pedal down in an AMG for 60 seconds!

If there weren't any other cars on the track, the GTR would have disappeared, far ahead of the GT3. The GT3 only caught up in the corners bc the slow vehicles were slowing the GTR's pace. Look to when the GTR let the GT3 pass...it was up the GT3's ass the whole time until...slow traffic separated them in turns. GTR is has the distinct edge. This coming from a I'll someone who loves the GT3RS.

Ok, even though porsche gt3 rs officially has a better nurburgring time, that amg gtr is quite easy to go fast with power and torque advantage. Your skills re insane and you try to shave milli seconds in corner entry and exit. Sadly, that abundant hp and TQ makes your effort go in vein

Your driving is better than the AMG driver. But to be hounest I never thought there would be so much difference in accelerating between a Porsche and the Benz.
