Beast Wars Review - Deep Metal

I always liked Depth Charge, mostly because of is underwater/aquatic alternate mode. Not to mention his rivalry with Rampage. Also, good to see you again Primal. I’ve been making my way through Transformers media a lot these past few years and currently, I’m only two episodes away from finishing the 2001 robots in disguise cartoon. Personally, I think that show is underrated. What do you think of Robots in Disguise (2001)?

It is a good introduction. Though once you see the Batman/Joker dynamic between DC and Rampage you can't unsee it. Now I hear the B:TAS theme whenever Depth Charge enter the scene. I call him Bat Man-ta. It really helped Rampage who up to this point seemed kind of useless. Now he's the joker, slipping the Lex Luthor's leash long enough to play. Of course, it leads to a fun question. What bots would fit into Depth Charge's rogues gallery. Skullcruncher as Killer Croc? Nightscream as Man-Bat? Blitzwing as Three-Face?

I became quite the fan of Depth Charge namely because of how dry and sarcastic his sense of humor clashed with the other ‘bots. Not nearly as iconic as Dinobot, but still unique.

Man, I remember getting this and the two later episodes on VHS from Tesco. Was really confused about the Ark and how the Autobots were involved (This was before the internet and I saw any G1 episodes), but as Channel 5 (UK) finally caught up to Season 3, it all came into place. And if I remember correctly, it had 2 adverts, with Depthcharge vs Rampage, then Cheetor and Dinobot in their Transmetal 2 forms. Such good episodes that I got on VHS.

Depth charge is my 2nd favourite of beast wars (the first is dinobot) while yeah his time in the show may have been short but I still really liked him I loved his rivalry between him and rampage one of my favourite rivalries in the franchise I think David sobolov did a great job voicing him overrall depth charge is a great character

I have a question see I was thinking cybersix crossover transformers prime story where Cybersix and Data 7 are in Transformers Prime series, in each episode does it sound interesting to write and imagine?
