Beast Wars Transformers "Making Of" Special 1996

In 1996, we were all using Windows 95 and watching technology create amazing things on Television and Film. Mainfraime was the creator of some of the first successful computer animated cartoons (Reboot, Beast Wars). This is how they did it!

After looking up various pieces of Silicon Graphics hardware avaible at that time and comparing them to what is visible of the computers in this video, I can safely say that Beast Wars was rendered using Silicon Graphics Indigo 2 workstations.

Doug Parker is actually a tall guy! It's like the only footage i've seen with him, on the google there is only one weak quality photo. That's a shame, i loved Terrosaur, how he has done his screaming it's just epic!!!

SCOTT MCNEIL WAS THAT SMALL? I always saw him as this gigantic cowboy biker dude! This blows my mind. Like look at him now, he's 7ft tall, he's bombastic, he has a biker vest like Brad Garrett, etc.

I think beast machines doesn't have the wide appeal that beast wars does, mainly because of huge shift in tone, it's not as light, and more philosophical I prefer beast wars but can appreciate the art of it

@@RedVelvetUnderground333 beast machines looked like a bunch of unused Reboot renders. The story and tone were bad, and the characters looked NOTHING like transformers, and still, I would never watch a remake that "ignores" something. That's just doesn't sit right.

1994-95-96 were strange years. But 96-97 I remember that there is something good on television. WCW and Beast Wars. I can't help but remember the drawings of the time.

Beast Wars isn't considered much by current TF fans but the Transformers franchise would now be dead if it wasn't for it. In 1996 it has been almost a decade without a TF show and the sales of the toys were declining. The moment Megatron walked into the Arc, was the moment the Transformers came back to life!
