This is amazing. Absolute purism. It’s completely unpretentious, just 3 MCs and a DJ spitting perfect rhymes in a plainly lit room and regular clothes. Compare this with the kids coming up now and how they need to have at least 5 face tattoos to even pretend to have some semblance of artistry. The Beasties are definitive trailblazers who held it down and upheld a standard even as they were going gray.

Hip hop is now about how you look. You don't even have to be great as long you look memorable (like a complete idiot). If you sound bad, they got production tools that'll make you sound good.

MCA had such a unique sound to him. in fact they all do. Ad-Rock and Mike D also. it's what made the Beasties so influential. glad they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame before MCA's passing.

Just a shame you don't see raw talent and DJ's anymore and btw this is live not even an overlay playing in background. That's what impressed me the most about the beasties they were better live than in a studio and that's rarer than three Jewish boys rapping successfully for 20 years cause most hip hop SUCKS live. Youngsters take notes, these boys did it right !¡!¡!

So much better than every shit remix that comes up when you search for this song. They make real rap - the type that puts every modern rapper to shame... And they're all middle-aged! Pretty badass right there I bet they're gonna make some some epic albums when they are in their 70's.
