Always liked them but only found out a few years ago how complete they actually were when I saw a live version of Sabotage with actual guitars etc. My love of rap and hip hop was almost something I had to keep secret during school, my teens etc. Because I was in indie bands and they didn't really mix, I used to go to what we my city called urban nights etc. In clubs on the down low because I was worried my fellow musicians would think I was a phoney when in actuality a lot of those guys had beastie boys, wu tang and Eminem albums and respected the genre and the only person being phoney was me for not embracing it and even attempting to use it in the music. Oh yeah and I was shocked to see Beastie boys were a former punk band that played instruments.

This video is legendary. What I love about it is it takes more than just Kaiju (giant monsters) from Japanese media. The shots, the costumes, the choreography, it's super Japanesy. On top of that they used a recording technique that would be used in music videos EVERYWHERE later: They would perform the song in a slower or faster pace on camera, then correct the pace of the video to match the song tempo, making either a hyper or airy feeling. This is legendary, and the song is one of the best rap songs ever made.
